Today we spent a whole day touring. We went to the Sydney Opera House and it sparked the little girl in me who wanted to be an architect when she grew up (I took a mini-course in high school that was supposed to give a taste of what the profession might be like, and it turns out I lacked the common sense to include a bathroom in the house I designed). That thing is stunning. I mean, it looks cool on postcards and everything, but it is something else in person. I was in AWE. Good times. The Boy liked it less, but who cares.
After Sydney, we went to Bondi Beach for a dip in the ocean. So fun. We are getting gutsier with our belongings and leaving them on the beach, but, knock on wood, we are lucky. So far, we've just been so lucky on this entire trip! We left Brisbane before it was inundated, we left New Zealand before the earthquakes... we're just lucky. We did try to find the Lululemon in Bondi but the boy sent us to some other random yoga store. Yeah, no.
We were exhausted, but we went to Chinatown for dinner, walked through the little souvenir shops there, and bought some buns for breakfast tomorrow. Does it really work? Standing outside the restaurant saying "Chinese food? Chinese food?"
Tomorrow we're going to Blue Mountains!
