Number 14: Renew a Friendship

I was great friends with this girl, MB, in the fourth grade. She was new from Winnipeg and because her last name started with B and mine started with C, we sat at the same table. MB came over to my house to "do homework" (aka play, because what fourth grader has real homework?) and, if I recall correctly, we did a few projects together. We were friends until sixth grade, but in seventh, we were sent to The Big School and although we were friendly, we weren't really friends. The longest I even talked to her was when my friend MTF went over to MB's then-boyfriend's house to return something and she was there. But fast forward through university and establishing lives on our own and MB and I had a mutual friend KO who said something about her on msn messenger. "Tell her I said hi!" I said, and he said "tell her yourself!" and so I did. MB and I chatted, and then went out on a date at the Blue Cactus, and then started going out on the town together. She moved out west but I stayed at her house when I went out there for work and we see each other every time she's in town. She even flew in from Vancouver for my wedding. We chat on the phone and by email, especially by FB. And in Van, The Boy and I stayed at her house. We had a really phenomenal time with her and her boyfriend. I adore the woman! Friendship successfully renewed.
